My Robo Investing portfolio consists of Syfe and StashAway.
Syfe’s Allocation: 98.7% REIT, 1.1% Cash
StashAway’s Allocation: 72% Stock, 7% REIT, 20% Commodity, 1% Cash
It has been a year since the Covid-19 stock market ‘crash’ in 2020. My experiment is coming to an end. I am very satisfied with what I have seen – robos can indeed give satisfactory returns, with minimal effort.
The Pros about using Robos are;
1. they are automated
2. dividends are automatically reinvested
3. easy to setup (good for beginners)
The Cons about using Robos are;
1. you can’t choose what to invest in
2. they haven’t been around long enough
STASHAWAY (SINCE MARCH 2020)
SYFE (SINCE MARCH 2020)
FINAL THOUGHTS
Over this period,
– Stashaway 36% portfolio generated a time-weighted return of 52.22%
– Syfe REIT portfolio generated a time-weighted return of 25.22%
My experiment of trying out Stashaway has come to an end. I will be closing out this portfolio. It doesn’t mean Stashaway isn’t good. I am just slightly concerned with the 0.8% management fee. I am actually also using other portfolios from Syfe (whose management fee is only 0.65%).
In the future updates, I will include those in and also my CPF OA investment using Endowus.
